In the middle of October,2024. We received an inquiry about railroad Spike from American client. The size of the railroad spike is 8/5"x6" .It refers to a spike that is 5/8 inches wide by 6 inches long. This is the most common size for a railroad spike used in North American railway applications.
We are an experienced manufacturer on various railroad spikes. Railroad spikes, is often called dog spikes, cut track spikes,railroad track spikes,nail spikes,railway nails etc. They are large nails that secure rails to the wooden sleepers that make up the base of a railway track.
In the past years, we supplied different railroad spikes to America,Australia,Brazil, Venezuela, Thailand, Indonesia, etc. We are able to supply qualified railroad spikes.
For this time, we will do our best to make railroad spikes that manufactured to AREMA and ASTM standards with reinforced throat, chisel point and square body.
The customer sent us the drawings. And the customer need us to provide samples before releasing an order. Because their end customers have strict requirements on products. The railroad Spike must totally meet the requirements of the AREMA Manual for Railway Engineering(American Railway Engineering and maintenance-of-way Association ). It means that the railroad spike must have high precision in size.
We confirmed the relevant data according to the drawing requirements, including min tensile strength, min yield strength,min elongation, being bent cold through 120 degrees,as well as being bent backward to an angle of 55 degrees. Besides,all sizes should meet the specifications set by the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance Association (AREMA).
Thanks to the full support of our technicians and front-line staff, we finally produced samples within a week and sent them to customers in the United States for testing as quickly as possible.
A few days later, good news came from the United States. Our samples of the 8/5"x6" railroad spikes are approved by the customer. This is really exciting news. We feel it is the best recognition of the quality of our railroad spikes. We look forward to providing our customers with more high-quality and competitively priced products.
