Rail Connecting Clamps, also known as rail ties in CIS countries and some European countries, are rail joint bars or rail fish plates to the ends of two rails to join them, providing structural integrity and ensuring smooth train movement.
The primary function of a rail connecting clamp is to hold the rails together, both horizontally and vertically, to distribute the load of passing trains evenly across the track and prevent separation or misalignment. They are typically made from high-strength steel, such as medium or high carbon steel, or specific alloy steels, and secured with fish bolts and washers. For electrified lines, insulated fish plates made from composite materials or coated steel are used to provide electrical isolation for signaling systems.
S49 Rail Connecting Clamps are specifically designed to match the dimensional parameters of the S49 rail (approx. 49.43 kg/m weight, 149 mm height, and 67 mm head width).
Material: Q235B,45#,55# etc.
Holes: 4 holes or 6 holes for bolting, with corresponding fish bolts, nuts, and washers.
Length: Range from 580 mm to 820 mm, depending on the specific design and number of holes.
Standard: Manufactured according to international standards DIN, UIC864-4 & UIC864-8.
Available: 4 holes or 6 holes; S49 Rail Connecting Clamps are generally available in 4-hole and sometimes 6-hole configurations to suit different installation and application requirements.
The S49 Rail Connecting Clamp is generally used in two standard hole configurations:
4-Hole Configuration: Standard for many industrial and transport applications.
6-Hole Configuration: Used for heavy-duty or higher-speed sections requiring additional clamping force.
Kunshan Signum Machinery Technology Co.,Ltd is able to manufacture rail connecting clamps, rail ties, rail joint bars and rail fish plates according to customers' requirements or drawing with competitive price.
