Chair screws (Coach screws): Large metal screws used to screw a baseplate or the rail directly into the sleeper (tie).
Fang bolts (Rail anchor bolts): Bolts inserted through a hole in the sleeper with a fanged nut that bites into the lower surface, providing strong resistance to vibration.
