A 3V screw spike is a type of rail screw spike that is a medium or large metal screw with a threaded nail rod surface and a head with a square or rectangular section. 3V screw spike is also known as a 3V sleeper screw. It is used to fasten rails and sleepers in railways. 3V screw spikes meet the requirements of NF F50-006. 3V screw spikes have two grades, grade 4.6 and grade 5.6.

3V screw spikes are used to connect steel track elements to wooden or concrete sleepers. They are typically fastened into holes bored into the sleeper, sometimes with plastic dowels.
3V screw spikes have a minimum tension strength of 700 MPa, a minimum elongation of 12%, and can withstand cold bending up to 30 degrees without cracking.
3V screw spikes can be made from a variety of materials, including Q235, 35# steel, 45# steel, and 40cr.
3V screw spikes can have a variety of surface treatments, including plain oiled, blasted oiled, oxide black, zinc plated, HDG, Dacromet, and sherardizing.
