What is rail clamp?

Rail clamp is mainly used in steel crane beam rail fastening, can also be applied to the stacker reclaimer, poking machine, and other ground transportation equipment track fastening. According to the design requirements, if the distance between the crane horizontal wheel and crane is much closed, smaller type (S) rail clamps are used.

The features and functions of welding type rail clamp

1, The floor of rail claping system uses three sides welding or two sides welding to the steel crane beam, can guarantee the crane horizontal force balance evenly delivered to the crane beam. The use of welded rail clamp avoids the defects of openings in the crane beam wing defects. Effectively improve the crane beam interface strength and carrying capacity.

2, the base plate fastened with T-bolt by ball hinge connection. Therefore, under the action of lateral force, the T-bolt is vertical to the upper cover and allows deflection, reducing the crane horizontal impact to the rail, crane beam and braking system and other structural hazards. Thus extending the service life of the structure.

3, the rail clamp is equipped with a slant adjustment plate, used to adjust the gauge, can improve the installation accuracy, reducing the center line straightness difference. And a two-way self-locking function to prevent the phenomenon of loosening during use.

4, T rail bolt is easy to remove, providing a very convenient condition for installation and maintenance .

5, The rail clamp upper plate matches the rail, can clamps the rail tightly without affecting the track micro-slipping along the vertical direction. It can also be used for full-track welding.

Welding type rail clamp fastenings selection and layout

1, according to the process of the proposed rail model, use the appropriate rail fixtures.

2, the spacing of rail clamp fastenings to be determined by crane initial weighte, thatis, Q≤275t, spacing of 600mm; Q> 275t, spacing of 500mm.

3, the baseplate to be welded with crane beam, electrode type selection should be compatible with the joint material. For example, Q235 and Q345 steel using Q4315, E5015 electrode.

4, intermediate working system Crane beam using two sides weld, heavy (special heavy) work inverted crane using three sides weld.

Rail clamp installation order and tolerance requirements

1, Baseplate positioning. Along the crane track direction by spacing 600mm or 500mm to lay base plate; vertical direction by T-bolt center and track center-a point.

2, welding base.

3, Install the rail fastenings in the following order: T-bolt in place, adjusting plate, upper cover plate, flat washer, spring washer, nut, T-bolt preload, adjusting plate for overall adjustment, T-bolt for final tightening.

4, T-bolt fastened to the final pressure until spring washer 2mm away from the joint.

Welding track fastenings material and performance requirements

1, rail plate, fixed base and wedge adjustment plate using ZG270--500 steel, its chemical composition and mechanical properties should be consistent with the standard GB5676-85.

2, T-bolt performance rating: Initial weight ≤275T, use Q235 material, Initial weight > 275T when using Grade 8.8 material.

3, Washer performance level 100HV, should be consistent with GB95-85 standard.
